Torn Rotator Cuff and Shoulder Impingement

When the nagging pain in my shoulder and arm started to interfere with my tennis, and worst of all my daily life, I sought medical help. I received cortisone shots, some physical therapy, and traditional chiropractic treatment… all without relief. Having torn a shoulder tendon, I went to an orthopedic surgeon. An MRI revealed frayed tendons, and a shoulder impingement.
After 6 months of 3 days/week of physical therapy, I still could not play tennis without pain. I then tried acupuncture, which still gave me no permanent pain relief.

At this point, tennis friends introduced me to Dr. Stephen Wellens. I decided to give one more doctor a try, especially because he was a specialist in the field of chiropractic care, a Chiropractic Neurologist.

I am delighted I gave his care a chance!!! The treatment worked!!! After only a few months of care, I am now playing tennis pain free, and my shoulder and arm do not interfere with my daily life! As an added bonus, I have received some good tennis tips from Dr. Wellens. I will continue to maintain my improved shoulder and arm function by following Dr. Wellens’ maintenance plan and at-home exercise program.

Thank you, Dr. Wellens!!!
